Friendship APL is a private, independent, non-profit humane society founded in Elyria, Ohio in 1957. We operate the largest animal shelter in Lorain County.

Friendship APL receives no government funding. We depend on the generosity and financial support of friends and neighbors, and on various fundraisers, to help the people and animals we serve.

So many animals in our community need us, and that means they need you. We simply cannot care for all the animals counting on us without your help!
